VI Glass Innovation develops customized anorganic fluorescent materials as glasses, glass ceramics and fluorophors in powder form. In contrast to organic fluorophors anorganic materials offer:
- extremely high stability against short-wavelength and/or highly intensive (laser) irradiation,
- highly reproducible fluorescence parameters,
- good resistance to high temperatures,
- high chemical stability,
- customized fluorescence parameters as excitation- & emission wavelength, fluorescence lifetime and
- customized optical properties as refractive index, absorption/transparency, light diffusion.
VI Glass Innovation's core qualifications include the development and production of:
Fluorescent glasses
- spectral region: UV to near IR
- suitable as fluorescence standards
- up-conversion-material
- quantum-cut-material
Fluorescent ceramics
- spectral region: UV to near IR
- up-conversion-material
- quantum-cut-material
- fluorescence standards
- detector- or sensor material
- frequency converter for LED technology or sensor technology
- diffusor material for lighting applications
fluorophores in powder form
- spectral region: UV to near IR
- for individual use
